World-recognized, next-generation access control system

RemoteLOCK is a WiFi type smart lock. A manager can make a unified management of multiple doors and visitors through the Internet by simply setting RemoteLOCK at the entrance of a building or each room. We started Remote LOCK business because KKE, having many partner companies overseas, had a partner relationship with the CEO of LockState, the manufacturer and seller of RemoteLOCK in another business. In the United States vacation rentals are already much more popular than in Japan. RemoteLOCK is widely used in many vacation rentals and it is designated as a global partner by Airbnb, the world largest vacation rental online reservation service. The department I belong to was founded to provide improved convenience to society through software development in architectural designing and information and communications field and blending of knowledge, which KKE has accumulated in social community domain, and IoT. With IoT technology, RemoteLOCK also contributes to the safety and security of managers and users of buildings, efficiency of access control and improvement of accessibility.

We actively use the Internet in the marketing activities of RemoteLOCK. In order to have the targeted consumers recognize RemoteLOCK and become interested in it, we have prepared a website, blog, social media, web-ads, e- mail newsletter, etc. We do not only spread information through them at random, but carefully design the marketing strategy of which information to deliver to the targeted segment (group with similar needs and characteristics) and when. To do these activities efficiently, we have introduced “marketing automation tool,” which manages the promising customers and automatizes the delivery of contents. These activities are unique to us as we deal with new projects. We hope that the accumulated knowledge in our business will hopefully develop into other businesses of KKE. Experiencing many kinds of business in establishing new projects is a great thrill in our work.

Young workers are given responsibility and discretion

KKE offers young workers opportunities. Even though I joined KKE only three years ago, I am expected to handle the system to increase sales negotiations on web marketing activities of RemoteLOCK with responsibility and am given discretion for it. If you are in the department of dealing with foreign partner companies, young workers are given a chance to make a business trip overseas. In my case, I was given such an opportunity in my second year in KKE. I visited a KKE staff who was at Stanford University, toured IT companies in Silicon Valley, the Mecca of innovation, and experienced American vacation rentals. Now that I think of it, the purpose of the business trip abroad was to have an opportunity to see things from a high perspective when young. I believe that KKE has an atmosphere where you share these experiences with other co-workers and stimulate with each other. I hope that I will be able to provide service which is beneficial to our clients and develop a market by attaining various knowledge and perspectives.
